The SonoSite C11 Ultrasound Probe is a curved array type, which produces a trapezoidal field of view. It operates at 7 to 4 MegaHertZ, and the low frequency gives it a deeper penetration depth. With its 10-centimeter scan depth, the SonoSite C11 is very useful in neonatal brain ultrasound, as initial screening and evaluation of the brains of newborns especially in premature infants who are at risk of intracranial hemorrhage. It is also used to produce a clear picture of the internal organs and blood vessels through neonatal and pediatric abdominal ultrasound, and is a valuable tool for examining abdominal, pelvic or scrotal pain in children. Additionally, it is used for vascular ultrasound to evaluate arteries or veins in nearly any part of the body, including blood vessels in the neck, abdomen, arms and legs. The SonoSite C11 Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite Titan ultrasound system.
