The Sony LMD-2140MD Endoscopy Monitor achieves superior picture reproduction through its 1024 x 768 LCD panel that provides high level of brightness, contrast, and color depth. Using a 10-bit fully digital video signal processor, it produces accurate and realistic images with smooth and natural transition between hues, shades, and textures. The LCD panel has a 4:3 aspect ratio and implements a sophisticated Interlace-to-Progressive conversion based on Sony's proprietary X-Algorithm technology for natural reproduction and clarity of images. In addition, it can integrate seamlessly with virtually any OR imaging system due to its wide range of analog and digital input sources - Composite, Y/C, RGB, HD15, DVI, and Serial (RS-232C).
It is equipped with several features that are useful during procedures. One is its key-lock function that disables the buttons on the control panel to prevent users from accidentally changing its settings. Aspect ratio is not a problem due to its ability to switch from 4:3 (fullscreen) to 16:9 (widescreen). Also, being VESA compliant means that this monitor can be mounted on surgical equipment arms, wall-mounted, or mounted to a surgical cart or stand.
