The Sony UP-897MD Video Printer is a medical grade thermal video printer for use during endoscopic procedures. It has high-speed printing capability and can produce A6-size printouts in approximately two seconds. In line with its speed, it combines its dye sublimation technology to its 325-dpi resolution to produce superb print quality. For easy and simplified device operation, it is equipped with a front LCD display panel and jog dial. The LCD display provides access to many of its functions, and also shows error messages and selected print paper type which users can easily confirm.
Aside from its functionality, the UP-897MD Video Printer also has features that enhance user convenience. A press of its COPY button, for example, can produce up to 20 copies of the last printed image. Every time it prints an image; it stores that image into its embedded memory. A maximum of 10 saved images can be browsed through the optional monitor, and users can select and print them through the menu setting. In addition, this functions also allows images to be scaled in desired areas before re-printing.
