The Sony UP-D55 Color Video Printer uses a USB 2.0 connection to work with medical diagnostic equipment and produce high quality color printouts. Through its dye sublimation printing technology, it can produce over 16.7 million colors and can print at approximately 379 dpi resolution. Regarding speed, it can easily reproduce computer images into A5-size printouts in about 20 seconds. For accuracy, it has a color balance adjustment function which allows users to choose the most appropriate balance to match the expected colors for printed output. In addition, there is no need for the user to resize images on the host because images from VGA, SVGA, and XGA sources are conveniently resized automatically to match the printer's settings.
