The Stryker L9000 0220210000 endoscopy light source is designed to illuminate the surgical site of minimally invasive procedures, through the use of optical cable and an endoscope. It is simple to use with its touch screen interface that provides user controls and system feedback. It also gives alerts when something is wrong with the system, such as exceeding the recommended operating temperature or when the heat pipe fan is not working properly.
It has two modes when powered on - Activate and Standby. Activate mode is in use during normal operation. The intensity of its light output can be adjusted by the brightness controls on the LCD display. Standby mode takes over when it is powered on but not in use. This mode puts the light output to a minimum, effectively reducing heat generated at the tip of the light cable or scope. The L9000 is also equipped with Electronic Scope Sensing Technology, a special safety feature that puts the system to Standby mode when the light cable and the scope is disconnected. This helps avoid accidental fires or burns.
