The Verathon Glidescope GVL Monitor is the main component of the Glidescope GVL systems and provides clear and full-color view of a patient's airway. The front panel includes its 6.4-inch LCD screen, buttons that provide access to its functions, and a port that receives the cable from the video laryngoscope. At its lower right side is the keypad that contains the power button for turning it on or off, menu button that allows access to device settings, and the up/down buttons for increasing/decreasing the value of a setting. There are also two LEDs that enhance its efficiency - the Battery Indicator LED illuminates when the device is operating on battery power, and Charge Status LED lights up when it is charging.
The back panel of the Verathon Glidescope GVL Monitor features the power socket for its AC power source, battery switch when running on battery or when charging, and a video-out port for external video display. There is also a mounting point at the back panel which allows the monitor to attach to a mobile stand or IV pole.
