The Zeiss OPMI MDU is a surgical microscope designed to deliver high fidelity images acquired during routine examinations and surgical procedures. The OPMI MDU is easy to use, mobile, and compact which makes it specifically well-suited for Cataract and other Ophthalmic applications, such as Vitreo-Retinal surgery. Its versatility also allows the operating microscope to be used in Hand, Plastic, ENT, and Obstetrics, and Gynecology applications.
Equipped with the Zeiss F170 inclinable binoculars, a Zeiss beamsplitter, a multi-axis stereo observer tube, and a Zeiss 175mm objective lens, the OPMI MDU is specifically designed to deliver a consistent red reflex and unparalleled optical clarity. It is also provided with adjustable magnification and focus which further increase the image clarity.
The downtime of the MDU is also reduced since it is equipped with removable optical components that allow for quick and easy changes. This quick-change function also allows the device to accommodate other disciplines. The MDU is compatible with the manually-balanced S5 stand and the S4 stand. These stands also reduce the footprint of the OPMI MDU and maximize the floor space.
