The Zeiss OPMI Visu 140 is a surgical microscope for use in the field of Ophthalmology. Developed by Carl Zeiss Meditec, the Visu 140 is designed with the needs of surgeons in mind. It features the revolutionary Carl Zeiss optical technology, ergonomic and innovative features, and the award-winning S7 floor stand to deliver crisp, clear, and high-resolution images which make the operating microscope well-suited for basic and complex surgical procedures such as Cataract surgery.
The Visu 140 is compatible with the widely acclaimed S7 floor stand, winner of the European Red Dot Design Award. The S7 floor stand increases the working range due to its long arm while its compact design ensures optimum mobility. The stand is also equipped with four casters and a grip arranged in the center column allow for accurate movement. A foot control pedal is also provided for controlling brightness, manage the camera or video accessories, and reset the X-Y coupling and focus.
Surgeons need not worry about the illumination system failure due to a faulty bulb. The Visu 140 includes an automatic bulb exchange system in the illumination module to ensure that the bulb can be replaced automatically if a bulb failure occurs during surgery. Surgeons also have complete control of the device by simply pushing a button. This allows the medical personnel to regulate the zoom speed, focus, and X-Y movements, and can also restore the X-Y coupling and focus to the starting position.
Perfectly well-suited for today's digital age, the OPMI Visu 140 is also provided with the MediLive ImageBox and the MediLive MindStream. The MediLive ImageBox is arranged for taking single pictures/digital snapshots during video recording for patient file archiving or for presentations. The MediLive Mindstream allows the medical personnel to create and edit the digital still images for archive or presentation purposes.
